Mirrorsoft

Mirrorsoft was a computer game software publisher in the United Kingdom, founded by Jim Mackonochie〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=CRASH 19 - Mirrorsoft )〕 and Robert Maxwell in 1982 and owned by Mirror Group Newspapers.
It was founded as a publisher of educational software before moving into games. One offshoot of its printing roots was ''Fleet Street Publisher'' on several platforms. A PC version was developed by Rowan Software but was scrapped before release. Many games were not released under the name "Mirrorsoft", but under publishing labels like Image Works, Mirror Image, and Arena Entertainment.
Mirrorsoft's most famous - and infamous - product was ''Tetris'', the rights to which were acquired in a series of complicated licensing issues.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=10 remarkable things about Tetris )〕 The company was voted Best 16-bit Software House of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=World of Spectrum )
Mirrorsoft was bought by Acclaim Entertainment in 1992, the year following Maxwell's death.〔"Acclaim purchases Mirrorsoft - Acclaim Entertainment Inc" in ''Newsbytes News Network''〕
